She was an ordinary girl, sitting under a tree.
Not only a tree, it was that tree, believed it was enchanted.
“Even for ordinary people?” she asked herself.
She felt the breeze on her face.

She stood up and closed her eyes as the world around her faded into a blur of color and motion.
Her right hand reached to the sky, palm facing up toward the heavens, open to receive the wisdom of the universe. Her left palm pointed toward the earth, offering back what she had learned. She was both a seeker and a giver, a bridge between the divine and the mortal.

She started whirling.
The wind caught the fabric of her dress, and she became the tree, the soil, the wind, the flame that refused to be tamed.

She was not just dancing; she was becoming. Each turn shed a layer of who she was told to be. Each movement was a rebellion, a prayer, a declaration of freedom.
She was whirling not to escape but to return—to herself, to her truth, to the rhythm that had always lived inside her. And as she spinned, she was weightless, boundless, infinite.

She was awakening.

Whirling Woman Dervish is a dynamic portrayal of a poetic story and spiritual transcendence, inspired by the Sufi tradition, where movement becomes a bridge between the earthly and the divine.

It represents transcendence, balance, and the union of divine energy with earthly existence.

A woman who is rare to see in the Sufi world. Even spirituality was not given freely to women to practice in many places but not in my world- breaking traditional norms and redefining spirituality through a feminine lens.

She is not just dancing—she is in a state of meditation, transformation, and surrender to the universe.

Her right hand reaching up and left hand pointing down symbolize the Sufi teaching: "Take from the divine, give to the earth." This movement represents being a vessel between the heavens and the world, channeling divine love and spreading it to humanity.

The flowing dress merges with the landscape, almost as if she is dissolving into nature itself, reinforcing the idea of oneness with the universe. The vibrant pink and blue hues in the background create an almost dreamlike realm, suggesting a mystical, ethereal world where spirituality and femininity coexist in harmony.

This painting is a celebration of inner peace, feminine strength, and spiritual awakening. It invites the viewer to step into a realm where movement is meditation, and where transformation happens through surrender, not control.
